My family had a chance to travel to Pico de Loro. It was our first time there. We departed at 8 o’clock in the morning, and arrived there at around 12:40. It was really an enormous resort village. We checked in at Pico Sands hotel. We ate first at Pico restaurant before we went to our room. We had pinakbet, kare-kare and pancit habhab. It was a good meal! Our room was suitable for us because it was huge, and the AC was actually cool.
After we rested for a while, we decided to go the beach. Basically, a wristband should be worn every time because it served as a pass to the beach, pool and other amenities. Our hotel was a bit far from the beach so we had to wait for a service car to bring us there. The beach looked so pleasant, the water was cool. We were so glad because the sun was not so hot plus there were only few people swimming. There were beach umbrellas and chairs where we can rest. We enjoyed swimming at the beach. We went back to the hotel to try the pool. There were like 5 swimming pools connected with each other! I enjoyed swimming there, too. My sister taught me how to dive. We also did some laps though it was very tiring because the pool was so long. I honestly liked the pool more than the beach.
We went back to our room to prep up for our dinner. We had bulalo and some tonkatsu. I wasn’t able to enjoy the food because my stomach was in bad state. We bought some stuff from Grab and Go, and roamed around the resort.
The first thing we did the next morning was to go to the beach to take some photos. We went back to the hotel to have some breakfast. It was a buffet but it had me wonder why they only had few dishes. Scrambled eggs and pancakes were the only food that I liked. We went back to the beach to enjoy the last hours of our stay there. It was an achievement for me to swim up to the barriers!! Then, we went to the pool and swam there for like two hours. I overheard this guy on the poolside that the checkout time was 11 o’clock. I told my mom about it; we packed up quickly because it was almost 11 o’clock.
After checking out, we drove to Tagaytay and dined at Bag of Beans. The place was very lovely!! The foods were tasty – we had caesar salad, tuna belly, marinara pasta and banana split.
The whole trip was great and relaxing. I was able to unwind before I go back to school! I wish I could stay there for another day.
